Counselor

Welcome Back, Royalwood Lions and Families! 

I am so excited to welcome everyone back for another amazing school year! My name is Ms. Garcia, and I am thrilled to be starting my second year as the school counselor at Royalwood Elementary.

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and my parents are from El Salvador. Family means so much to me, and I love spending time with my two wonderful nieces and my sister. When I'm not at school, you can usually find me reading a good book, listening to music, or doing a little online shopping!

I earned my master's degree from Lamar University, and I feel so lucky to be part of the Royalwood family. I can't wait to meet our new students, reconnect with familiar faces, and help make this school year fun, safe, and successful for all of our Little Lions!

How Can I Help?

As your school counselor, I am here to support every student's academic, social, and emotional success. I provide:

• Classroom guidance lessons

• Small group counseling

• Individual counseling
• Crisis intervention and student support during difficult situations

Whether a student needs someone to talk to, help solving a problem, support through a challenging time, or encouragement to reach their goals, I am here to help. My door is always open, and I look forward to partnering with our students, families, and staff for a wonderful school year!
