Administration
Principal
Greetings Royalwood Community,
I welcome you all to the 2023-2024 school year! I continue feeling humbled and honored serving as the Principal of Royalwood Elementary, for the 4th year. In total, this will be my 21st year in education. I have played many rolls in those years, everything from para-professional to teacher, to instructional specialist to assistant principal, now to my second year as Principal of this wonderful school. In those years, I have learned many important things, but if I can narrow it down it down to a couple, they would be the importance of building strong-lasting relationships and the importance of staying laser-focused on learning, regardless of the circumstances.
I look forward for everyone having a wonderful school year. I understand we have many challenges ahead during these uncertain times. However, I see those challenges as opportunities, opportunities for growth, opportunities to stay resilient, and opportunities to remain diligent. These are the ingredients to success, and here at Royalwood we have all those ingredients, in our students, in our staff, in our parents and in our community. Thank you everyone for your continued support in making Royalwood Elementary #1. You are truly appreciated!!!
Assistant Principal
Greetings Royalwood Community,
My name is Priscilla Mundo and I am honored and excited to share that I am the Assistant Principal at Royalwood Elementary School. I plan to help continue the great work that is already happening at Royalwood. I am passionate about empowering others to be leaders, and I feel strongly that education has the power to change the course of every student's life.
I was born and raised in New York City and my family is from Puerto Rico. I moved to the Houston area 3 years ago and have enjoyed getting to know all things Texan!
I completed my undergraduate studies at Saint Michael’s College in Vermont, then went on to attain my Master’s degree in education from the University of Florida, and finally completed my Educational Leadership coursework at the College of Saint Rose in New York. My educational career began in the classroom where I spent nine years teaching grades 1-5. I also served as an ESL coordinator for several years, and have 6 years of experience as an assistant principal at the elementary level.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking, practicing yoga, and traveling.
I look forward to getting to know new faculty, staff, students, and families who are part of the Royalwood community. I truly believe that when we all work together, our students will excel and succeed!
Kind Regards,
Mrs. Mundo-Rincón
