Assistant Principal
Greetings Royalwood Community,
My name is Priscilla Mundo and I am honored and excited to share that I am the Assistant Principal at Royalwood Elementary School. I plan to help continue the great work that is already happening at Royalwood. I am passionate about empowering others to be leaders, and I feel strongly that education has the power to change the course of every student's life.
I was born and raised in New York City and my family is from Puerto Rico. I moved to the Houston area 3 years ago and have enjoyed getting to know all things Texan!
I completed my undergraduate studies at Saint Michael’s College in Vermont, then went on to attain my Master’s degree in education from the University of Florida, and finally completed my Educational Leadership coursework at the College of Saint Rose in New York. My educational career began in the classroom where I spent nine years teaching grades 1-5. I also served as an ESL coordinator for several years, and have 6 years of experience as an assistant principal at the elementary level.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking, practicing yoga, and traveling.
I look forward to getting to know new faculty, staff, students, and families who are part of the Royalwood community. I truly believe that when we all work together, our students will excel and succeed!

Mi nombre es Priscilla Mundo y me siento honrada y emocionada de compartir que soy la Subdirectora de la Escuela Primaria Royalwood. Planeo ayudar a continuar con el gran trabajo que ya se está realizando en Royalwood. Me apasiona capacitar a otros para que sean líderes y creo firmemente que la educación tiene el poder de cambiar el curso de la vida de cada estudiante.
Nací y crecí en la ciudad de Nueva York y mi familia es de Puerto Rico. ¡Me mudé al área de Houston hace 3 años y disfruté conocer todo lo relacionado con Texas!
Completé mis estudios universitarios en Saint Michael's College en Vermont, luego obtuve mi maestría en educación en la Universidad de Florida y finalmente completé mi curso de Liderazgo Educativo en College of Saint Rose en Nueva York. Mi carrera educativa comenzó en el salón de clases donde pasé nueve años enseñando los grados 1-5. También me desempeñé como coordinador de ESL durante varios años y tengo 6 años de experiencia como subdirectora en el nivel de primaria.
En mi tiempo libre disfruto pasar tiempo con mi familia y amigos, cocinar, practicar yoga y viajar.
Espero conocer nuevos profesores, personal, estudiantes y familias que forman parte de la comunidad de Royalwood. Realmente creo que cuando todos trabajamos juntos, ¡nuestros estudiantes sobresaldrán y triunfarán!
