Sheldon ISD to remain closed through the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year (June 3)

Dear Sheldon ISD community,

Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued an executive order earlier today that will keep all public, private and higher educational institutions closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. He also mentioned that Texas Commissioner of Education Mike Morath would be providing additional information in the near future.

Sheldon ISD will continue its remote learning program through the remainder of the regular school year calendar through June 3, and it will also maintain its curbside meal distributions.

Royalwood Elementary School Named a 2019 Texas Gold Ribbon School

Royalwood Elementary has been named a Gold Ribbon School by Texas School Guide for being a high-performing campus even though it is labeled by the state as a Children At-Risk institution.
 
In order to qualify as a Gold Ribbon School, 75% or more of a campus’ students must be classified as low-income, and the school must receive an A or B grade in C@R annual school rankings. Royalwood Elementary received an overall score of "B."

Sheldon ISD sets June 1-2 as designated pick up / drop off days

Sheldon ISD has scheduled June 1-2 as designated days for students to pick up personal belongings and/or drop off school-issued supplies – such as textbooks, library books, technology devices, etc. Here are the scheduled times for the designated pick-up days: June 1 will be 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; and June 2 will be 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (Please click on the headline for more information.)
