Sheldon ISD teams up with Cody Stephens Foundation to offer free or reduced priced EKGs to students

The youth screenings (open to ALL students - not just athletes) will take place Saturday, Aug. 10, inside the C. E. King High School Competition Gymnasium from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Please note: The first 200 individuals who register online will receive free EKG screens (thanks to various sponsors and donors). Walk-ins are also welcome and will receive screenings for a low cost of $20 each.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the No. 1 cause of death for students athletes, but a simple ECG (aka EKG) can help detect 86 percent of the major heart issues that cause SCA.

The Cody Stephens Go Big or Go Home Memorial Foundation was founded in memory of Cody Stephens, who died from an undetected heart condition just weeks before graduation from Crosby High School.
